About Investor Sam

Our mission: Make institutional-grade financial analysis available to every individual investor — completely free.

What We Do

Investor Sam is a free stock analysis platform that gives individual investors access to the same financial data used by professional analysts and fund managers. We pull data directly from the SEC EDGAR database — the official US Securities and Exchange Commission filing system — and present it in a clean, easy-to-understand format.

You can analyze any of the 8,000+ publicly traded US companies on our platform without paying a subscription fee, creating an account, or downloading any software. Just type a ticker symbol and start reading.

What You Get — Free

Who Built This

Investor Sam is built and operated by FlossBite LLC, a small software company focused on making financial information more accessible. We believe that the quality of financial research you can do should not depend on whether you can afford a Bloomberg Terminal ($24,000/year) or a FactSet subscription ($12,000/year).

SEC EDGAR data is public information — taxpayer-funded infrastructure that every American has a right to access. We just make it easier to read and understand.

Our Financial Calculators

In addition to stock analysis, we operate products.investorsam.com — a free collection of 940+ AI-powered financial calculators covering retirement planning, tax estimation, mortgage payoff, debt elimination, college savings, Social Security optimization, and tools specifically designed for federal employees, physicians, military families, teachers, nurses, gig workers, and more.

Our Blog

We publish in-depth financial guides at investorsam.com/blog covering topics from Roth IRA strategy to physician contract negotiation to military retirement planning. All articles are free and written for real people — not finance professors.

Data Sources and Accuracy

All financial statement data comes directly from SEC EDGAR. We do not manufacture, estimate, or adjust reported figures. Data is updated after companies file their official 10-K (annual report) and 10-Q (quarterly report) documents with the SEC. There may be a delay of several days to weeks between a company filing and our data reflecting it.

Important: Investor Sam is an educational and research tool. Nothing on this site is investment advice. Always do your own research and consider consulting a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
