Investor Sam is a free stock-research platform that turns raw SEC EDGAR filings into plain-English financial analysis, so an ordinary investor can answer one question: is this company actually a good business to own?
Why this site exists
Most of the data you need to evaluate a public company is already free — it lives in the income statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow statements that every U.S. company files with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The problem is that it is scattered across hundreds of pages of filings and written for accountants, not investors. Investor Sam pulls those filings, normalizes them into clean multi-year statements and ratios, and presents them the way a careful analyst would actually read them.
We charge nothing for the core research. The goal is simple: make professional-grade fundamental analysis available to anyone willing to learn, and explain the “why” behind every number through our investing guides.
Who is behind it
Berly Sam Varghese is the founder and editor of Investor Sam — an engineer who treats money the way he treats any hard problem: something to be engineered, not gambled on. He funded years of education and built real financial stability the patient way, by living below his means and investing rather than borrowing. He personally reviews and approves every guide on this site and checks the figures against primary sources before anything is published.

We believe in showing our sources. Investor Sam is built on public, authoritative data:
